There is nothing more fulfilling than helping your customers achieve their direct marketing goals. However, being recognized by our industry peers for that work does provide a different sort of satisfaction – validation of our commitment to creating innovative direct marketing programs of the highest quality.
Each year, SG360° participates in the premier printing competitions, including the Great Lakes Graphics Association’s Graphics Excellence Awards (GEA). The largest regional competition in the U.S., the GEA’s are known for their stringent judging criteria, recognizing the best craftsmanship in design, creation and production.
GEA Judging Criteria
This year we submitted 17 entries across 14 categories, representing the work of seven customers, as well as our own branded campaigns. Each entry is judged on:
- clarity and neatness
- sharpness of halftones and line drawings
- richness and tonal qualities of color
- paper and ink selection
- ink coverage
- difficulty of printing
- effective contrast or softness
- overall visual impact
We are pleased to share that not each of these entries were awarded recognition in their respective categories. Including the top honor of Best in Category in the Specialty Inks or Coatings, Fragrances, or “Invisible” Printing Inks and Digital Books categories, SG360° received honors for Best of Division, the Award of Excellence and more across the following categories:
- Print/Graphic Arts Self-Promotion
- Die Cuts, Pop-Ups, Unique Folds, and Involvement Devices
- Folders (4 or more colors)
- Direct Mail Campaigns, Business-to-Business
- Self-Mailing Unit
- Special Innovation Awards – Other
- Foil Stamping
- Brochures and Broadsides (4 or more colors)
- Point-of-Purchase Counter/Shelf

The breadth of recognition not only underscores the range of capabilities we provide, but our unmatched expertise. Nowhere else is the art of direct marketing so masterfully executed.
